I've run my own WordPress sites on Cloudways for over four years. I moved there from InMotion and haven't moved since. This Black Friday deal is the cheapest way to try it.

Start on Micro. You can add RAM and CPU later in a few clicks, so there's no reason to pay for a bigger server before your traffic needs it. If you're moving several sites at once, Small gives them twice the memory.
The $200-a-month cap only matters on servers that cost more than $250 a month. On every plan above, you get the full 80%.
Why Cloudways, and not cheap shared hosting
On shared hosting, your site sits on one server with many other sites and shares its CPU and memory. That's why it can cost $2 a month, and why a busy neighbour can slow your site down.
On Cloudways, your sites get their own server on the cloud you pick: DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS or Google Cloud. Cloudways then manages it for you, so you don't touch the command line:
- Scaling in a few clicks. When traffic grows, you resize the server instead of moving host.
- A tuned stack built in. Nginx, Apache, Varnish and Redis are set up for you, and Cloudflare is integrated.
- Staging and cloning. Test a theme or plugin update on a copy before it touches your live site.
- Automatic backups, a firewall, free SSL and security patching on the server.
- Unlimited sites per server. You pay for the server, not per website.
That's what you're paying for after the two months: a server that's yours, without having to run it yourself.
What you'll pay after Black Friday
On Micro, you pay $5.60 for the first two months, then $14 a month. Over three years that's $481.60, against $71.64 for Hostinger's Black Friday plan.
So Cloudways isn't the cheap option, and I won't pretend it is. It's worth it once your site matters to you: it earns money, gets steady traffic, or you run several sites and want them fast in one place. If you're starting your first blog, Hostinger is the better buy, and Cloudways will migrate it for free when you're ready.
A few costs to know about up front:
- No email hosting. You'll need Google Workspace, Zoho or Cloudways' paid Rackspace add-on for email on your domain.
- Transactional email is extra. For contact forms and order emails, use an SMTP add-on or your own service.
- Offsite backups are charged at $0.033 per GB per server.
How to claim the Cloudways Black Friday deal
- Open Cloudways' Black Friday page and sign up. You can try the Flexible plan for free first, without a credit card.
- Launch a server. Pick DigitalOcean and Micro to start, and the data centre closest to your readers.
- Enter BFCM802 when you add your billing details. It won't apply automatically.
- Request a free migration for each existing site. With this deal, migrations are unlimited.
